PLA Military Doctrine and Defense Strategies Practice Test

The core idea being tested is that the People’s War doctrine centers on mass mobilization and a protracted-conflict approach, using broad participation of the population and base-area strategies to wear down a stronger foe over time. This tradition comes from plans to mobilize society, sustain a long campaign, and leverage political mobilization alongside military effort rather than relying on a single quick strike.

Its modernization updates that approach for the information age. Informationized warfare means weaving networks, sensors, cyber capabilities, and precision tools across military and civilian domains so operations are faster, more coordinated, and harder to disrupt. Civil-military integration (military-civil fusion) brings civilian industry, technology, infrastructure, and innovation into defense needs, ensuring dual-use resources and rapid scaling of capabilities. Resilience focuses on maintaining and restoring essential functions under pressure—security, disaster response, critical infrastructure, and social stability—so the state can endure prolonged conflict and continuing crises while continuing the campaign.

So this description captures how the fundamental idea of mobilizing society for a long struggle remains, while the modernization components—informationized warfare, civil-military integration, and resilience—translate that approach into a high-tech, interconnected, and robust national defense posture.
